Got my "official approval" yesterday! Starting my pre-op diet Monday. I actually don't have to start till the 11th but I am starting a few days early for a few reasons. I AM SO PUMPED! I hope the next 2 weeks fly by!

Got my "official approval" yesterday!
What do you mean by official approval? Are there two phases of insurance approval that I’m not aware of? I thought it was just pre-approval, which means getting approval before the procedure.

Congrats!! I love that you are so excited for your pre-diet lol I dreaded it but it really isn't so bad and the 2 weeks are definitely going to fly by!!

That is what I mean. I was pre- approved for BMI. Had to go through all of the pre-approval requirements. Classes, Doctor appointments, etc. Once I completed everything then they submit for actual approval. I called it my official approval because I received a letter in the mail from my insurance saying I was approved for surgery on 3/21. It is "official" because I have it in writing from the actual insurance company.

I wouldn't say I am excited to start the pre-op diet per se but started the diet means surgery is soooo close, that is the part I am excited about.

I started my pre-op diet today! (4 days earlier than I needed to) I am sure it will be easy until the early evening. I tend to not be hungry early in the day and consume most of my calories after 3pm. I am in serious count down mode. 14 days!!:D
