Milk protein intolerance?

I’ve missed being on here, it’s been a long time! Hope everyone is doing well :)…I’m now 10 months out and the more time that goes by I’m starting to notice my stomach can no longer handle dairy the way it did prior to surgery. If I have cheese it has to be very mild or I will end up super gassy and in the bathroom. I haven’t had cows milk since surgery (I only use plant based)… In the past several months I’ve been able to tolerate frappes (which are high in milk fat, cream etc) but that looks to be coming to an end as it has destroyed my gut today to where I can hardly eat anything because my stomach feels full even though I haven’t been eating much and of course I was in the bathroom over it. I’m kind of sad about it but what can I do. I just think it’s so odd that it’s just happening now and didn’t happen sooner than this. However, you hear all the time how people develop food allergies/intolerance out of nowhere. Has anyone experienced anything like this?

Welcome back Lesa Marie! I wish I could offer some advice on the dairy but that hasn't been an issue for me. But you are right, things don't always pop up right away. How are you doing otherwise?
Hi Judy! I’m doing pretty well, thank you for asking. I’ve been maintaining for the past 4 months and I’m so thankful for that but I put in the work and effort to be where I’m at :) Hope you are doing well!

Girl, you are looking good. Congrats on maintaining. I started having issues with milk in my 30's. So, it could be due to the surgery, or it could just be a random thing. I can tolerate yogurt and cheese in reasonable amounts, but I use lactose free milk, always. You don't have to be intolerant, some people are just sensitive. You can also try lactose pills, which work pretty well.

Good to hear that you are doing well. I've had a setback but getting back on track now. Is that a new picture? You look great!!
Setbacks are all apart of the process… None of us are perfect, myself included and I have no doubt in my mind I will have my own hurdles to overcome. Determination will help us along the way when these things happen. Proud of you for getting back on track, takes a lot to recognize our behaviors and actually do something about it ;)… and yes, I took this photo about 1.5 months ago. Thank you for the compliment

Awe, I appreciate that :) and thank you! I was doing decent with cheese and sour cream etc but it’s all come crumbling down here recently where even just a small bit of milk protein is making me feel so awful. It’s weird explaining it. It makes me feel full even hours after having it, kind of like a bloating feeling but not really. Idk lol but I have heard about the pills that help with this so I’ll have to look into it but I’m also okay going to plant based foods cause I really don’t think cows milk is all that healthy for our systems anyway (so I hear). Glad to chat with you again! Hope all is well :)
