Must be crazy!

We must be insane, but we finally let our 12 year old son get a snake. He’s been doing research and saving up for a year. This is Stella, a 6 month old female pastel ball python. He wants to be herpetologist, so I guess this is a good starting point. My husband and I have zero experience with reptiles, so it’ll be a family learning experience!

Although we got our daughters rats when they were teenagers. My older daughter ended up becoming a veterinarian, so who knows!

Pretty colors, esp for a Steelers fan like I am. So just how big does she grow? Now that you've had WLS, she might just look at you, momma, as a tasty "slim" snack someday!

She can get up to 5 feet but won’t get very thick. We made sure her enclosure has good clasps, otherwise she might have one of our cats as a snack LOL

Fortunately for me, mine didn't either! I'm getting the heebie jeebies just thinking about it!

No no no! I am freaked out by snakes for lots of reasons. We ended up with 2 guinea pigs this fall because my spouse wanted a rat...
