HI i'm new to this, I'm thinking of having the lap band or the sleeve weight loss surgery, but I'm nervous about which one to have . I take many medications everyday and does anyone know what surgery would be better, my surgeon said he would do either one.

Hi Nancyann, both surgeries will get you where you want to be, the question is, what do you want. I had RNY, my insurance wouldn't pay for the sleeve, mostly because I wanted this to be permanent. I know me and if there is a way to go back, I will, so I chose the by-pass.
