I'm so amazed what I have been doing to myself over the years(decades). My diet was multiple hot sausages, and every nitrate you can imagine. No wonder my body became allergic to many of the foods I loved. So now what? How long will this detox take? I also suffer from fibromyalgia. I use to be the life of the party but I fret I won't be much fun with the death of my two best friends(food and celebrex).

Hi Ladysings, Welcome. Your body will go through lots of changes over the next few months, and as you heal you will start to feel better. I found the thought of food and wanting to eat or hunger pains left me as soon as I had surgery, the hardest part for me was getting enough protien the first year. You will do fine for the first year or so, your body wont let you over eat and that will help you retrain yourself to eat healthier and learn portion control, this is just a tool. Remember healthier food does not meen bland food you will still be able to eat foods you like just in moderation, but you may still want to take it easy on the nitrates. Tom
