Hello all my name is Dawn, I am 46 yrs old and I am just starting my journey to a better and healthier me. I had my 1st appt 2 weeks ago where I met my surgeon. We discussed what surgery I was interested in. Everything seemed to go well. Now just waiting for my next step.
Welcome! Glad you found this group! I'm having my gastric sleeve on June 1st and am so excited. My liquid diet starts in 3 days! This group has been wonderful for me so far.

Welcome Dawn! I am just beginning myself. What surgery did you decide on? What things do you have to do before you get your surgery date?
 
I decided on the sleeve because it looked like I would possibly have less complications. I know I have to meet the dietician, physical therapist, and social worker. I also have to have some blood work done. I already quit smoking and cut diet soda out. I even bought a few bariatric cookbooks. Stocked my fridge up with healthy food, protein shakes and lots of water.
