Hey Lisa, welcome to the group. I'm so glad you found us here. I also had gastric bypass last summer. I began at 234lbs, and now, a year later, I have lost 70lbs. It came off very quickly for the 1st couple months, then slowed down a bit. But as they say, slow and steady wins the race. I still struggle at times, but each day I start fresh and do my best to get in 60+ gms of protein and 64-80ozs of water. I usually walk or get in some form of movement almost daily.
All of these are very doable, and you will now have all the tools you need to be successful. Good luck and feel free to ask questions, and celebrate your victories, including NSVs (nonscale victories) like walking through a store without losing your breath, feeling familiar clothes getting looser, being able to see your feet again and to tie your shoes without your ribs causing you pain. If you have stalls, we'll give you our collective shoulders to lean on until you begin losing again. ❤❤
