Hello everyone, my name is yolanda and I had the gastric sleeve procedure on June 04, 2021. I have lost close to thirty pounds, I have decided to weigh only at my doctors visits. By following this path, I feel that I will be able to focus on my progress and not the scale.

Welcome I too do not want to be ruled by a scale. I do have to get monthly weigh ins for video appt so I do that. Progress has been positive. NSV is a thread to report non scale victories ex: adding holes to leather belt. Or fitting into smaller clothes in the closet. Or wrapping self in beach towel with nothing hanging out. You can do this feel free to chat or not chat.

Kathi - Don't feel bad I am right there beside you as I feel addicted to checking my progress and weigh on a daily basis which I know is not a healthy process. It's something I have talked about with the counselor and am working on.

I am bad and go on the scale about every day. even when I tell myself not to I do on auto pilot

I weigh myself often, but if the scale goes up I don’t let it stress me out. If it’s still going up after a week then it’s time to reevaluate. If it keeps your mind at ease I don’t see the harm.
