newbie 6yrs post op

Hi Englewood10, Welcome. I take Twin Labs chileated Iron (ferrous femarate) 18mg x 2 a day when I remember, it was recomended by my bariatric surgon, remember do not take iron within 4 hours of calcium or dairy products or they will bind together canceling each other out. I found this web site but they are sold out, I can find them localy at one of my grocery stores and a healthfood store in my town. Good luck. Tom

Englewood-It might be a good idea to consult with a bariatric nutritionist, your PC or better yet a Hemotologist for bloodwork to make sure you are taking the correct type and doseage of iron. The Hemotologist will be able to determine if there are any underlaying causes for iron deficiency other than your diet since your surgery was a while ago.
