Ok, so May 7th I will be one month post-op. I have lost 36lbs as of 4/24, that was the first time i weighed myself at home, but then this morning I weighed myself again, & I gained 2lbs. I am drinking my water, getting my protein in, taking my vitamins and I am not eating much because I get full too fast. What am I doing wrong? Is this normal? My starting weight was 296lbs.

Make sure to weigh yourself on the same scale at about the same time each day. I weigh myself first thing in the morning after I go to the bathroom, before I consume anything, and while naked. The food and water we consume count on the scale until we go to the bathroom and they are eliminated, not just from our bodies, but from the numbers on the scale. I wouldn't worry at all. I'm sure you're going great. Our weight fluctuates throughout each day and day by day a bit. That's normal.

Congratulations on being one month post surgery! It sounds like you are following the plan and doing everything right! It can be disappointing when the numbers on the scale go up, especially when you don't understand why. Focus on what you have done and that your weight is going in the right direction - the overall progress is downward even though occasionally for some reason there is an upward spike. I have been doing this for almost 5 years and still experience bumps like you described. Stick with it and the weight loss will continue.
