:cool:Good Afternoon,

Newbie from NH. I am scheduled to have RNY Gastric Bypass Surgery on May 14. 11 Days to go! I am currently on the pre-op diet. Has anyone had any troubles feel sick with it? It took me two years to get to this point but I am excited to be starting a new chapter in my life. A new journey to becoming healthier and feel and looking better. I just finished reading "Weight Loss Surgery - Finding the Thin Person Hiding Inside You" by Barbara Thompson. Great book! I just started reading Weight Loss for Dummies. Another good read. Both have a lot of good information in them.

Nhkitten-Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your decision to take the journey to a healthier new you :) when I was on the pre-op liquid diet I had a mild headache for a couple of days and after the 3rd day I started feeling tired and a little weak. I was allowed to eat cream of wheat and noticed that when I ate this I felt better. Other than that I was OK. The time will pass quickly and before you know it you will be having your surgery.

Make sure you come back here to let us know how you are doing. Feel free to ask questions or offer support to others.

Good morning nhkitten,
I had my surgery on the 24th of April (sleeve) It was rough the first week but now I've been walking for 30-40 minutes each morning and down 18 lbs already. Wooo hooo :) It's exciting and wish you the best!
Welcome to the site...lots of helpful people on here :)

Hi NHKitten, Welcome. The hardest part of the pre op diet for me was the last couple of days when I went from liquids to just clear fluids, I think I dank about 2 gallons of bullion, it cleaned me out but at that point all I could wait for morning to come so I could get it over with. Your almost there just hang on a few more days. Tom
