hi, I am new here. My name is Mae. I have my surgery April 15, 2026. I am 20 days postop today. I weighed 237 before surgery. I’m currently 211. I’ve lost 5 inches in my waist and 4 inches in my hips just started back today walking this has been a little tougher than what I thought it would be. I’m having a hard time keeping I’m on the purée stage and I’m having a hard time. Keeping anything down anyone else experience this

Congratulations on having the surgery, you are making great progress! People will tell you that weight loss surgery is taking the easy way out, but that is not true. It takes dedication and work to be successful, but it is worth every bit of the effort you put into it. The puree stage is not enjoyable long term but you will move on in a week or two and for now you probably have been able to add things like Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, scrambled eggs, very soft/overcooked veggies like squash, applesauce and protein shakes. Every few weeks you can add something new so as hard as it is try not to focus on what you can't have right now and try to enjoy whet you were recently able to add back into your diet.

Congratulations on making such a big change. It's really not easy but eventually it does get easier. I used to look forward to any of the "new" foods I got to have as I progressed in the stages. One step at a time and you'll get there. Maybe see if you can do a different protein shake for variety.
When you said you're having a hard time, was it to stick with the plan or not feeling well?
