Newbie March 9th gastric sleeve

Hello everyone first time posting. I had my surgery on March 9th. I am doing good with pain except for my shoulder which is really bothering me. Has anyone else had this problem. Also taking my pills always leaves me nauseous as I have to crush them. I did try puréed food. It felt terrible and I am going to stay on the protein drinks a little longer. Hopefully in the next 2 weeks I can stop crushing. Also the last 3 days I actually gained a pound I was stuck at 251 then went up to 251.4 is that normal. I have not cheated at all.

Which surgery? It's normal for weight to go up and down; don't worry about that. Just keep following your program. Try not to weigh yourself every day. Sorry about the shoulder pain. I had the sleeve and didn't have to crush pills. Bypass might need them crushed. I was able to swallow them easily, with 15 min in between. Now I take them all in about 5 minutes. I'm 2 months out. Contact your professionals with questions also. I'm not a doctor.

Yes, that is the gas pain from laparoscopic procedure most likely... but always check with your doctor to be sure. The transitioning of food is different for everyone, and even can change from day to day for a person. It is a process and it can be challenging. It DOES get better! The weight will fluctuate and plateau along the way - it is just your body's way of adjusting to the changes. Stick to your plan, and you should see the overall trend going down.

Shoulder pain is normal it is from the gas. The weight fluctuation is normal. Don't weigh yourself everyday just once a week. Your stomach is still healing it will take time before its ready for food. Stay on liquids until you can tolerate puree. There is no rush take your time.
