Newbie

Hi! I’m an English prof. in N. GA and I had the gastric sleeve on 8/8/2019. I’m approaching my 5th week; which means solid food soon. Almost everything makes me nauseous and, even though I’ve lost quite a bit of weight, there are many days that I regret having this surgery. I’m hoping that things will improve as I start introducing solid food. I’ve read a few posts and appreciate the insights. Looking forward to hearing more from those with more weeks under their belts!

Hi Missy. I'm sorry you're having a tough time in the early stages of recovery. It should definitely get better as you're able to introduce solid foods and variety. I had a rough time with the pureed food stage too, nothing was appealing without texture. I hope you feel better today. Please keep us posted.
