Non alcoholic beer

I have another question. I see a lot of posts and know you’re not supposed to drink beer after surgery but I was wondering what about no-alcoholic beer ? Haven’t see anybody address that yet.
I agree with Annie, it's the carbonation that you need to avoid. That said, I recall asking my nutritionist about diet soda down the road. She said to ask her again a year post-op but she'd probably be more likely to allow a beer than a diet soda. So I think in time, in moderation of course, it would be ok.

You can always poor a carbonated drink into a glass and let it go flat. Then drink it. But only drink about 25 to 50% of the amount that you would ordinarily drink. I like the taste of beer, fully hoppy and yeasty and bitter. I drink it when I feel like it and the carbonation is no longer a problem for me. But don't do things to your new system that might destroy all your hard work. Wait at least a year before you begin to introduce something like a carbonated beverage into your belly. And when you do, only take one sip, then wait. If you're still feeling okay in 5 minutes, take another sip. But don't guzzle or in any way over consumed the beverage
Good advice!
