Not hungry

Im having a few issues Im hoping that someone else has had the same and can help me out.
Its been 9 weeks since my surgery a bypass not a band.
Im having to force myself to eat ,because my tasting pallet has changed nothing tastes good
Food that ive always loved.
Getting down the amount of water im supposed to drink is a huge challenge.
Not being able to go #2 is another big problem. I have to keep taking laxatives to go.
Has anyone had a burping problem? Lots of burping ! And no l dont use straws nor soda pop.
Im quite discouraged any ideas will be sooo appreciated.

I'm so sorry. I have not had my surgery yet, it is Monday, August 5th.
I have heard that your sense of taste and smell can change a lot. I think drinking water gets easier with time but it seems like it should not still be so hard 9 weeks out. I believe the burping is normal and gets better over time. The constipation is also normal, specially if you are not taking in much food and enough water.
I am sure some of the people here who have had the bypass will give you better advice that I can give. I just did not want you to think you were being ignored.
I have watched tons of Youtube videos, not sure if you have but there is one in particular who is very straight forward on what she is going through.
Her name is Minnie Me in Tennessee. Maybe there will be some tips from her that may help you.
Wishing you the best of luck and to feel better soon.

Hi! The anesthesia can change your taste buds quite a bit and can take a while to get all the way out of your system. I'm 4 weeks post op from bypass with gallbladder removal and used to love eggs but can't stand them right now! Also, my Dr recommended Miralax for the no2 problems and week 4 introduced me to it. I took it for 2 days and can say it worked wonders with no cramping or side effects. It's tasteless and dissolves in water with some stirring.

They tell u that u will not have an appetite for the first 5 months post op. U have to make that schedule and keep to it. I am only 3 weeks out now and I still don't have an appetite. I smell stuff that smell good but I don't really want it. But I hope it gets better for u real soon
