Hello I'm new to this group but I'm approaching my 3 year surgery date. From the title you can guess what I was constantly told. I was completely frustrated, defeated, and lost. Growing up I've always felt the heavier kid because I grew faster than everyone else. I was 5'7 by 4th grade. My weight continued to go up after high school when I quit being in sports and dance. I got married and quickly had 3 kids in 4 years. Funny thing is each pregnancy I lost weight (40, 60, and 80 lbs) but gained it quickly back. Then after constantly seeking help for weight, just by chance a customer came in and told me her story and gave me the information of where she went. I did some research, asked the husband if he'd be ok with me traveling "out of the US" for it, and then went for it without looking back.

Wow, congratulations on losing 100 lbs! Your story sounds a lot like mine. Glad you were able to have the surgery!
