One month post op

Hi Frank-
Oh yes, we have shared that same plateau. Your body is going through major adjustments. My doctor said to keep up the diet and watch the inches drop and not so much the weight. Look around the various forums and you will see others expressing the same question.

Thanks Texnoble. I feel like this plateau vindicates my decision to have the surgery. Even with the low number of calories that I'm taking in and the rerouting of my GI tract and I still hit a plateau! Some folks' bodies just don't want to let go of the weight, and I'm one of those folks. Thanks again. Also if you have any tips on how to use the calendar feature I could use them.

I've read that the calendar option wasn't that easy, so I never tried it. Sorry!
As far as the plateau...I found that upping my water and protein helped, since I was never good about that in the beginning.

Hi Frank
I had a sleeve to bypass revision on April 15 and I have not lost any weight. I guess I have plateaued as well. Hang in there.
Thanks Smile7. I guess we just have to tough it out through this plateau phase. My appetite is still down which is good. I mean that's the whole point, right? Every time I eat the 3 ounces of protein and 1 oaunce of fruit/vegie I feel like I just ate a thanksgiving meal LOL. I have given up the protein shakes because I am hitting my protein goals without them. I have found that fish is a great choice since ( according to the baritastfic app) 3 ounces of cod has 40 grams of protein.
Why the change from sleeve to roux en Y? Was it the GERD? That's why I chose roux en Y. I already had GERD and didn't want to risk it getting worse with the sleeve.
Good Luck to you on your new journey!!
