I had my abdominal ultrasound and upper GI this morning. The ultrasound was for my gallbladder. He has to check it before taking it out at time of surgery or I risk it not being covered by insurance. The upper GI went pretty good. No hernias or major abnormalities. The only thing the radiologist saw was that when I drink (while I was laying down), everything slows down considerably the further down my esophagus the liquid went. He said it’s not a major malfunction or anything, and there’s really nothing that can be done about it. So pretty much all good news. I still have my EDG to do, and the office has to call me for scheduling. Other than that test, it’s all about the dietician visits. Yay!

That's great! And honestly, how often do we drink while laying down? I don't know about you but it is very uncomfortable and tends to give me a fear that I might drown if I do that. Since I am sure you do must of your liquid consumption in an upright position, I'm sure you will do fabulously ;)

I have sludge! LOL I’ve never been so excited to have gall sludge. My surgeon said if there were any gallbladder abnormalities he’d be taking my gallbladder out at the same time as my surgery. I still have to talk to him about all of it, but I’m going to hold him to it! Also saw fatty liver, which doesn’t surprise me, but my enzymes aren’t too high, so hopefully that can be reduced a little before surgery with the liquid diet.

I'm so happy for you! Get that thing out of you!!! :)
