Here is another thing I like to do. On my husband and my 1st wedding anniversary I made this picture for him.
The shape of the spade has significance to us, because we met 20 years ago online after I bought a book about the card game Spades, that he happened to write.
At that time, he lived in Virginia and I was in California. Eventually we met in person and decided to move to Colorado together! When we first became friends I weighed 270 lbs, and with his coaching and support I lost 100 lbs in a year. Of course I gained most of it back.
The puzzle pieces are also significant because when we got together, he wrote the 2nd edition of his book and I designed the cover using a spade with a puzzle pattern.
The pictures in the photo are all pieces of photos taken from our first year of marriage.
He literally cried when I gave this to him. It is about the size of a poster and hangs above our mantle. We did have it professionally framed.
