Hi MK- I am guessing that you just had surgery since you are in the jello, popsicle, clear liquid stage? The operation involves air being pumped into our body cavity to allow for easier access for the doctor. That air takes a while to resolve. Gulping food is also a source of excess air. I am in my 11th week post op and I burp a lot after meals whether I eat fast or slow. My doctor said that it would get better. Check back with your doc if it keeps bothering you.So whenever I eat popsicles and jello it’s makes me burp or a slight pain that quickly goes away. Am I eating the popsicle too fast and what’s going on with the jello? Ugh !!!!
Yes, I don't believe it has anything to do with speed of eating. I only notice it with super juicy things like popsicles, jello, starbursts and things that create a lot of salivation. It does suck but I promise you learn to live with it just deal. Once you are totally healed you will end up just burping alot and it wont be "painful" or any discomfort really at all. Just a small air pocket feelings is all. Best of luck to you!Omg ! Thanks so much for they feedback. I was just surprised and when I talk to the doctor they just keep asking me do I eat the popsicle to fast and I’m like no, I don’t think so!!!!
