pre-op diet is no joke

I have been on my pre-op diet for 5 days now. I wake up today and my stomach felt so empty. So I ate so non-fat plain greek yogurt and my stomach was still going I toke my kids to the bus and by time I got home I grabbed me a protein shake. The protein shake really calmed my stomach down. Man I thought the the yogurt would do something but it did not. I have long days. I wake up at 5:30 every morning and go to bed late every night. I have sleeping issues. But I feel energized all day just my body will not let me move like I want. Something on my body is always moving. I usually always have a foot bouncing up and down. My kids say I can never sit still for nothing. I can when I go to bed. But this diet has had me wanting to sleep more now. Like right now I just want to lay back and go to bed again. But not going to do it. I have things to do and get done. But last night I almost caved. I cooked dinner for the kids like always. Sitting that close to it was tempting. I fixed the little two boys plates and then I told the older one to eat and when he got done eating to put it away. I got away from it as fast as I could. I don't know what is worse eating or the running away from food. But I got past it and drank a protein shake. I toke my shower and got ready for the night. I won that battle but ain't sure about the next one. But I am going to try my hardest. wish me lucky at least. And pray that my will power will be enough to get me through. I am determained to do this the right way.

Thanks Diane. I am trying so hard. I ran from food last night because I did not want to mess up my diet. I got the boys something today and came back to my room. I am about to get me some campbells cream of chicken soup and if I am still hungry I will get me a protein shake.

MamaBear, SF Popsicles saved me quite often. You can chew and the cold in my stomach helped with the hunger. The pre-op diet is hard, but hang in there. It will pass soon and the surgery date is coming. Drink LOTS of water. It helps keep you full feeling. Never give in! We are WONDER WOMEN! We are stronger than our urges!
You got this, girl!

I did good. Last night the boys had taco bell and pizza. I hid in my room with the door closed and drank a protein shake. It passed after the smell of the food went away. And I was able to concentrate on my stuff away from theirs. But I got through it. The night before I left the kitchen after cooking and making plates for the younger 2 boys. My husband wanted me to eat last night because I was 6 days yesterday and he said he would not of survived as long as I have. I amazed him that I have that will power. He looked at me differently today. And asked how I was doing. I told him I was good. And grabbed me a protein shake. He just shook his head and walked away.
