I had Lap-band installed in May. Just got my first adjustment...
He had me drink a cup of cold water to judge the adjustment. Only a sip of water felt like it was 'stuck'.
He said to call him if I can't eat anything (clinic is 45 minutes away)
...but then said liquid diet for 2 days
I guess this is my life now...?

Yeah I mainly lurk due to not many other lap band members here.
I have 0 support, so the whole process has been rough.

Get the band checked ASAP!!! I started with the band, and quickly had to have a revision after a year... if you cannot get water down, that is a huge issue. Reputable surgeons will not do lap-bands in the US any longer. In fact, in Sweden where the band was developed, it has been completely outlawed due to the complications. I was filled every single time I went in during my first year... I ended up with erosion into my stomach and not being able to eat anything solid and eventually could not keep water down.

No I mean instead of a Barium swallow, he was judging the tightness by how it felt when I drank.
It sucked, and he took a bit out.

Hmm, I’m so interested in this because I thought lapband was outlawed in the medical field. When I originally started my journey looking for a good standing surgeon, I found that NONE of them offered the lapband. I remember my grandma having it years and years ago but needed it removed because of complications. So I finally asked one of the doctors why facilities refuse to do them now and he said because the body simply does not like having foreign objects in it (high risk of complications). He went on to explain how the band can grown into the skin, can slip and whatever else he had told me (it was over a yr ago). I sure hope this works out for you but definitely be cautious of all these things. Most importantly, listen to your body.
