Where do I start? I had gastric bypass almost 3 years ago ,7 months after surgery I had my gallbladder out, at that time I ended up in Cardiac ICU for 2 days and that the cardiac floor for a total of 7 days, my blood pressure dropped and heart went out of normal rythem, never did get an answer as to why that happened, was only told they thought maybe I lost weight to fast. once I healed from that things where ok for awhile, started having low blood sugars which than spiraled out of control, I ended up going to the Mayo Clinic here in MN because my doctors thought I had an Insulinoma, which turned out wrong, the Mayo doctors told me my blood sugar issues are from the gastric bypass surgery and my only option would be to reverse the surgery.
Now I have been getting bad pain in my right rib area for awhile now, went in and had CT scan and was told nothing wrong and if keeps up go to the Gastro doctors again.
I am tired all the time, alls I want to do is sleep, I have had blood tests done and I am not anemic or anything, labs look great the doc says .I am watching what I eat, trying to add more protien and seems no matter what I do I do not feel any better.
The few people Ihave talked to are brand new to having gastric bypass so they are feeling great.I am really glad for them, but I want to feel great again. This is effecting my home life also, my boyfriend is always on me saying i do not want to do anything, and he is right I dont
. My daughter granted she is 18 is also nagging at me all the time. i force myself to do things with them but not for very long because I am exhausted and end up going to lay down or bed for the night.
i am not depressed,BUT I am frustrated with medical care and no real answers.
Has anyone out there felt this way, Or has anyone had the reversal gastric bypass and feel better?
