Hi, I had surgery in 2013 lost down to 150, kept it off till just recently. Increased reflux, blood pressure and new onset of pre- diabetes prompted me to have a revision done, Ive tried glp-1s, meds, hypnosis, exersise and diet i cant get the scale to budge past 185 and now Im at 198 and not happy at all. im nerveous about my upcoming surgery but optimistic. Anyone elese in the same boat?? Looking for moral support and new friends that understand the tiny tummy struggle.

Welcome! It sounds like you've been through a lot, so it makes sense that you're feeling both nervous and hopeful about your upcoming revision. After your surgery in 2013, you were able to maintain your weight loss for many years. That's a huge accomplishment and something to be proud of. It takes a lot of dedication to do that.

Dealing with health issues can be frustrating, and I understand why you're having a revision. I had a gastric sleeve in 2021 and later had a DS loop revision after my weight loss stopped. Even though I had already been through bariatric surgery, I felt nervous going into the revision process and worried about it being the right choice. At the same time I was hopeful that it would restart my stalled weight loss. My choice to have a revision was a good one, no regrets! I hope others who have had revisions will share their experiences as well.

Wishing you all the best as you move forward, and I'm glad you found your way here for support!

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I think another reason im more nerveous is that I havent told a lot of people about my upcoming surgery. My daughter, niece and a close friend thats going with me. I opted out of going to Mexico because I couldnt get anyone to go with me, so Im having it in GA vs NC where I live. I dont want to get back up to my highest weight which was around 275. I stopped getting on the scale past 270. Again thanks for the support.
