My story is not unique, and I hope it is also very rare. I first had the gastric sleeve in September of 2018. I had complications and could not swallow. I had 3 surgeries to try to stretch my esophagus. None worked. I was told that I needed to get the revision and change to a bypass as I had formed a new pouch in my upper stomach from previous scar tissue from the removal of the gastric band. I went under on August 21, 2019. After 2 and a half weeks things were progressing but I wasn't getting enough protein and I fell ill on Labor day and had to be rushed to the hospital with severe stomach pains. I later on found out my gull bladder was full of stones. So give days later it was removed. So now as we speak September 15 I have a little stomach, no gull bladder and it still feels as though someone punches me in the stomach every time i try to eat or drink. I take about 2 ounces of food at a time thinking that will solve the problem. I had a car scan and there is no leaking. It's not sugar i use splenda. I'm still on the puree stage. What can it be?
