Runny Nose

Wonders if we have discovered a side effect to weight loss surgery

From what I’ve read it might have something to do with the vagus nerve, but I’m not sure that’s definitive.

It's not unusual to have the parasympathetic response of a runny nose associated with digestion. It could also be associated with some other biological factors perhaps exacerbated by the surgery. It would be hard to diagnose, I would think. I will get a runny nose if I eat a bit more than I should, just a bite or two too much will do it.

I am 12 years post op gastric bypass surgery. After the surgery I started having and continue to have constant runny nose. It is embarrassing! At times I lean over and it pours out. It is also happens when I overeat.
Has anyone had this symptom? If so have you found a solution?

Same here…6 yes out and it never ends. Very annoying. And I have had no resolutions either.

I talked with my chiropractor today about this and he’s going to see if there’s something he can do to help my left nostril only drip. We’ll see!
