By-Pass Surgery, start my clear liquids 9/2.
Excited & Nervous I have wanted it for so long & finally its almost here.
Nervous w/ people talking about hair loss problems. Any input on this??

Congrats and your surgery date! There are a lot of posts about hair loss with people benefiting from different things: biotin, collagen, maintaining protein, specialty shampoos. I wish you luck on your surgery!!

HI, Good luck to you. I had my bypass on June 22nd. I haven't had any hair loss yet, but I heard/read it comes around month 3 so .. pretty soon. I've been using an anti hair thinning shampoo/conditioner in the hopes that helps, but I guess we'll see. Either way, it was totally worth it! Well, I hope This is a HUGE fear of mine!

Good luck with your upcoming surgery and stay strong. Try your best to not 2nd guess anything as the date gets closer only keep positive thoughts in mind. My bypass has been the 4th greatest event of my life behind my wife giving birth to two healthy kids, getting married then the bypass. My opinion could be skewed since I am only two months post op.

Congrats on your surgery date! The pre-op diet wasn't all bad but I was on only a week. At that I've lost 15 pounds, in a week! Yikes.

I'm concerned about hair loss, too. At my age I'm worried it won't grow back. lol I just tell myself to hang on, this too shall pass.

Terrific 15 lbs in prep week, that's great, I hope I do the same, but I have to do 2 wks prep.
I will try to keep myself busy & not think about being hungry. LOL

Yes hair loss would not be fun at all. Did U have Bypass or Sleeve?
