Everything is going so much better. I never thought I would stop regretting having surgery because of the pain and nausea but now I am fine. Finally finding food I can eat and agrees with my new stomach. However, there is one thing. I am so stinking tired. I go to the store for an hour and I feel so darn tired I have to go home. I'm going back to work on the 13th and I just keep thinking I'm going to be so tired the whole day. I'm a 911 dispatcher I need to be focused and alert. I just started my regular vitamins today and I'm hoping that helps. I guess I shall see. Anyone else had exhaustion from minimal activity. It has only been 4 weeks since surgery.

Hi April - YES!!! I was completely wiped for about 6 weeks after surgery. My doctor told me it was normal because it takes a lot out of the body to heal itself. Reminded me to get my water and protein in every day. This will subside. I'm going 4 months post-op now and have most of my energy back.

Is there any way you can go back to work on a slightly reduced schedule? I also returned to work on week 5 but was able to work 6 hour days for the first 2 weeks back. That seemed to help.

Good luck and glad recovery seems to be going well otherwise! :)
