why is weight moving so slow?? Im eating very little walking hydration is not great.
I get sick sometimes after I eat. I feel so bad like what am I doing wrong??
My husband seems to think im losing inches but my cloths feel the same.
Just feeling like im failing here.
anyone have these problems??

I have the same problem. I’ve been at a stall since my 1 week post surgery follow up. I had surgery on June 22, 2022. From what I understand stalls at our point are normal but eventually once our bodies are over the trauma of surgery we will start losing weight. I too struggle with the hydration part. But I’ve been told as long as you are getting 60 grams of protein and 64 ounces of water per day and walking you will start losing weight. Good luck!!

Is 34 lbs in a little over a month considered “moving slow” I’m just curious because I don’t know what the normal rate of weight loss should be post surgery. I was stepping on the scale everyday and decided to give myself a break from that and have not been on it in 3 days. I am hoping I see a change but don’t know what the change “should” be. Stick to what your doing I’ve been drinking a Gatorade Protein through out the day mixed with my water to help me stay hydrated. Only 60 calories and 10g of protein.

I used this chart, which I found to be very reasonable. Weight loss varies by starting weight, as well as age and other factors. Weight loss, even with surgery, is a marathon, not a sprint.

I understand how this can feel frustrating, but keep following your program. You'll be able to add more food options as time goes on to build around your proteins. Hydration is important, so keep working towards those goals. My bypass was 5/18 and I'm also down about 35 pounds since the pre-op diet and an additional 10 that I lost before that. For those that know or notice, I just say 45 since January, which is still pretty awesome! Some people think the weight just falls off after surgery, and maybe for some it does, but I'm not too discouraged. This is a change for life and I'm hoping that maybe a slower weight loss will aid in allowing my skin to adapt. Maybe not, but that's my hope since I'm going more slowly, too! According to the chart referenced above, I'm right in line for 9.5 weeks post op. Yesterday, after my aqua zumba class, my instructor said to me, "you need to get a new smaller swimsuit!" This one was baggy in the rear! Woot! People are noticing something looks different on me, but I get a lot of compliments that they love my hair, so I'm not sure the weight loss is dramatic enough for them to realize what's different. Hang in there! Your body is changing and you'll notice it more over time! Be patient and give yourself some grace.

This is a WEIGHT LOSS SURGERY SUPPORT GROUP! People who have WLS have physical/weight concerns. Discussing them is what a support group is actually for.

Never allow someone to undermine your progress by suggesting you are being vain or selfish. You deserve to focus on your health and well being.

As for starving children. I find writing a check to my local food bank or shelter helps more children than online vitriol.
