Slowwwwwwwwwwww loss

This seems so slow. I keep questioning if I'm eating enough or too much. I haven't had a period since surgery, I'm wondering hormonal changes?

Are you tracking your intake? Not sure about the period thing unless you’re pregnant or in the beginning of menopause, but I’m sure those can’t be the only options. So 40lb loss between pre and post op? Your body might be adjusting. How much did you want to lose?

It's not all fast weight loss and you're averaging 3.5lbs a week. I can't seem to find any of my posts stressing about the same thing but I'm pretty sure my loss was around 3lbs per week. The more you weigh, the faster you lose. Those averages online of 5-15lbs a week are for people who are heavier than you are. And now you weigh even less. According to this you are right on track.

Yes, I actually got a period for 2 months after surgery, after not having one for 8 months. I was positive I was done with all that nonsense but no. I had to start over. You're not actually considered menopausal until you haven't had a period in 12 months. So, yes, weight has a huge impact on hormone levels and your period may not be normal for a while.

I was on mine for my surgery. The next month I was on it for almost 2 weeks, and I thought it was because I was on blood thinner shots, so my dr said I could stop the shots. But since then it’s been unpredictable. I see my gyno for my annual next month, so I’m going to ask him how long he thinks this is going to continue.

Yeah so I started spotting yesterday after having my last period 2 weeks ago. I called my gyno office and they said my period could remain irregular until I stop losing weight. This isn’t saying that it definitely will, and not everyone will be the same way, but it’s certainly a possibility. I really wish my surgical team would have prepared me for this. Probably the only thing I wasn’t expecting.

I'm always happy to see this chart. Reminds me I'm "average" instead of erring.
