I was out to lunch with my family today, and I went to the dessert counter to see if they had anything sugar free or small enough to treat myself. I noticed that they had small sugar free fruit pies, and I mentioned it to my sister. A man had just ordered one and said he just has gastric bypass in April. Found out we had the same surgeon! The area we were in isn’t close to the hospital we used, so we thought it was a great coincidence. It was great meeting someone in the “wild” who’d been through what I had. He’s done really well, and we congratulated each other. I love how he just came out and said he’d had WLS, kind of like me, willing to tell anyone LOL I’m attaching one of the signs I saw while out shopping after lunch, so funny!
