Solid foods

Just started solid foods i have no taste or a desire for food i have to make my self eat upset stomach every Moring the smell of food sometimes make me sick how long will this last .hardly no foods are agreeing with me.do i keep trying or call my doctor .
Call the doctor that sounds awful. I did read that if food doesn't work to go back to the previous stage until it feels better but someone else here might have better advice! That sounds miserable though

At solid foods, I was told to always try 1 food at a time so if your stomach didn't agree with it you would know what it was.
If it made your stomach upset, try again in a few weeks.
My plan also states what Nymiria mentioned above, back up to the previous stage and give it a little more time.

But, as always if you have concern. Call your surgeon.

That doesn’t sound normal at all. At this stage, you should be eating (and enjoying) about a dozen different foods and textures. I would definitely call your doctor or his nurse and get advice.
She said she "just" started solid foods. Just starting out, she should be eating 1 new thing at a time to see what does and doesn't agree with her.
If nothing is agreeing with her she should call her surgeon who will likely tell her to back up to pureed foods for another week and try again. This is what they told us in one of our pre-op classes.

What I meant was . . . by the time you get to solid foods, you have added about a dozen foods to your list of what you can eat (four new items each food stage). So considering the list of things she is allowed to eat (before she got to solid foods) there should be something that is satisfying and not causing stomach pain. But since she is experiencing quite the opposite, that is not good.

*Until you can reach your doctor *

I would suggest going back to the soft food stage. Do not push yourself and make yourself sick just because you were told to move to SOLID food this week. It is okay to listen to your body and hit pause!! Not everyone progresses at the same speed, so this blip does not mean you will ALWAYS have problems with digestion. You may heal more slowly than the average person or you may just be more sensitive to textures.

That being said, please only try 1 food at a time and make it simple. Solid food? Chicken. Slow cooked or ground first, which makes it easier to digest. Start with 1 oz and move up from there. You have forever to reintroduce food so take your time and listen to your body.
