Hello, im now 8 weeks PO and i have seemed to stall i think in the last 8 weeks ive lost 35 lbs.. but is it normal to stall like this? is there something else i could do to change it and not stall anymore. i am open to all safe suggestions!!

Let me know if you find an answer. I lost 30 pounds on the prep diet, but I haven’t lost a pound since I got home from the hospital and I’m a month post op. I could have starved myself to lose the weight for free. I’m super concerned.

Stalls are common, especially after a significant weight loss. After I lost my first 75 pounds, I stalled for months. Then my activity and my daily diet got in sync with my new routine and the weight melted off. It took me 13 months to lose 110 pounds, but in that time everything started to adapt to my new normal.

I am only 3 weeks post op and as soon as I started on solids, I stalled. I am thinking about going back to liquids. I've only lost 17 lbs. I feel like a failure.

You are not a failure! You did something wonderful for yourself. I was told at each new site stage when adding in things there is likely to be a stall. I am at 5 weeks and I am worried when I go in next week for my 6 week check up I will not have lost any more. I only lost 11 pounds in the first 2 weeks. I am supposed to have lost at least 35 by the 6 week appt. We will see. I have not exercised as much this past week since I went back to work so going to up my exercise and hope it helps. Hang in there. You are doing great!
