Oct 19th will be my day for surgery. But it will be self pay since my husbands company that he works Doesn't have it included in their policy. Found out this info this week when they submitted to insurance . Tommorow I go for my pre op class and then oct 9th I meet with surgeron. The week before surgery will have pre surgery meeting with family doc and have covid test done .

MY date is the 12th and the next two weeks are going to be crazy. Most of my pre-op face to face doctor appointments will be done by Zoom. I got lucky that the class is going to be on Zoom because of how far some of us live from the city of Orange. I do have to drive to Orange on the 8th for the covid test but I already had the virus late March.

I started my journey in March but I got sick and was hospitalized for 25 days. This was a big help with quitting smoking and a good start on eating healthier meals. I used every tool my dietitian gave me from a daily feeling log to a nutrition app I could log in recipes from apps like Alrecipes. I slowly curved my poor eating habits to good eating habits. I started eating food I would most likely be eating after the surgery. My body is used to protein drinks at least twice a day. I have been losing 2.8 lbs per month with limited movement. That's another story for anther time

Right now is probably the worst anxiety you'll have (from my experience). Just stay the course and acknowledge that you've researched this and are doing it for all the right reasons, and let the time move on, carrying you with it. You'll do great, but I remember this time is really hard. hang in there!
