Is it too soon to say thank you to all of you even though I still don't have a surgery date confirmed? I just had my second appointment with my surgeon; he was please that I seem well-informed and have realistic expectations that everything may not be sunshine and puppy dogs during the healing process. I have all of you to thank for that.

I have an endoscopy on Wednesday and a physical (GP release) on 3 September. After that it's all a go! He said I was tentatively scheduled for 1 October for surgery. My work life is weird in that I go to work every other week but will start back full time 1 October (of course). I am hoping to get the surgery moved up even a little bit to preserve my vacation time.

Again thank you all for the wealth of knowledge you have shared--and continue to share--with me. Hugs to you all!

Awesome surgery date; you will be on normal / solid foods by Thanksgiving so you can partake and not feel like an oddball. Really tiny servings, but you can be a part of your normal routine

Very good news. Thanks for sharing. My surgery is September 9th and I began the liquid diet today.
