I lost 1.4 this week so I decided that it wasn't a dream and I've officially surpassed my initial goal, hehehe. ;)

I decided that my ultimate goal is to reach 154 pounds, putting me just into the "normal" range on the BMI chart. While I've never agreed with the very basic parameters used to calculate this, it's still the standard measurement used by most doctors.

I never thought it would be possible for a curvy girl like me to get out of the "overweight" BMI range but with the amazing tool that surgery has been, it's becoming a very likely possibility. I can't freaking believe it!!!

Thank you all again for being part of my journey. The support has been priceless. Love you all!

BRENDA! You have graduated from being a Rowdy young student to being a PhD candidate in healthy weight loss. You are going to make it for the rest of your life because you know how to do it and your self-esteem is soaring. Keep saying your affirmations. I know you do. My affirmation for today is "I am following my heart."

I also have a secret goal and because it is a secret goal I can't tell you what it is. But you will know it soon enough. I will probably reach it in the middle of 2020.

But let's keep talking about you. Would you mind if I asked you how tall you are? 154 is an absolutely acceptable weight for a woman who is going into her , unless she's only about 5 ft tall.. We really need the extra weight and fat layers and muscles much more than the skinny Minis who spend their life in yoga and aerobics classes isn't absolutely

If you could pick just one, what would be your affirmation for today?

And congratulations on your continued, modest, weight loss. 2 lbs a week on a 1200 calorie a day diet is considered typical for a woman when she adds exercise and balance is her diet with protein. Anyone can do it as long as they don't cheat. Our problem is we cheat.

You are my North Star, shining brightly on my journey. Even though I met my goal years ago, I still need the support and friendship and love that I get from this group. And before I forget to say it, I love you too.
I'm excited for you to share your goal once you reach it!!!

Thank you as always, you're one of the most encouraging people that I have in my life. Your support means so much. :)

Love your affirmation for the day. :) I will go with - I am attracted to people and situations that bring joy. This group is definitely one of those. :)

I'm 5' 6.5". I'll never be (nor do I want to be) skinny. I hope to keep an hourglass figure. More importantly, I don't want to become one of those women who obsess over every ounce on the scale and who live in the gym. To me, that's just the other extreme of the same dysfunction with weight and food.

Just be considered "normal", not fat, not skinny... that's the goal. :)
