When does burping end?

Does the type of surgery make a difference? Just out of curiosity, could we please share surgery type & if we have burping issues or no?

I had gastric bypass and have no burping issues. In fact it is quite difficult for me to burp. I was told RnY surgery was good for dealing with GERD, so maybe it's all related?!!

I had VSG and as far as I see in everyone's comments it does depend on the type of the surgery.

I'm here to report on my burping in case anyone comes across this. It's been almost a year, and it gets better. I can't say it's fully gone, but it's at a level that is acceptable and normal.

I don't have the burping so much anymore, but hiccups are pretty constant... tells me right away that my tummy is done
