Hey guys, it's me...Kara609. I had to change my username because I had some nosey people trying to snoop around and get info I wasn't ready to share yet. What a shame!

Anyway, I had gastric bypass on Oct. 17th. I'm down 28 lbs as of Oct 6th, including the 10 day protein diet. Right now I'm in the "OMG, what did I do to myself" stage. I was told this will pass. I'm still very sore in one area, they said it's because that one incision they put a deep stitch in to prevent a hernia. Anyone else experience this? Right now I'm having a lot of neausea and I feel dehydrated. Any advice for me??? I'm still on cream soups and sugar free pudding and jello...I start the puree meats on Tuesday. I just want the healing period to end so I can feel better...I'm going back to work tomorrow.

Also, I feel it in my chest. When I drink or eat, small incriments, I can feel it in my chest. It's getting better but I just hope this isn't something that will last long term. The dr said its because my stomach is still so inflamed and when that heals, it won't be anymore but I've spoken with a woman who is a year out and still has this when she drinks cold liquids. I don't like that at all!

Kara,

I have a lapband which was placed last March. I still have that pain you talk about if my food is too hot or too cold, or if I eat too fast, or don't chew chew chew. It has gotten better but sometimes I forget or let myself get too hungry. It will improve as you were told. Your surgery and nice little pouch is still quite new. Give it a chance.

Good luck as you continue on this journey.

Joy
