New Here

I had sleeve surgery on 4/12/2022. I have noticed that my energy level fluctuates from day to day. Yesterday was a good energy day, so I changed the sheets on our bed. Then I was pooped out. Today is a low energy day and I’ve been on the couch all day. When I eat a high protein meal like bean soup for dinner I feel energized, so that’s when we go for a walk. I just bought a can of Progresso lentil soup that I’m going to blend with my emulsifier.

Hello all!
I had my gastric bypass surgery 4/14/22. I’m finding it difficult to maintain my energy level. I hope to find some great advice here and nutrition tips, as well as emotional support. This journey has been a trying one to say the least. Glad to be here!
Hi Terri and welcome to the group. My pcp reminded me at my 1st post-surgery appointment that my energy level would be low for the 1st month or so due to the severe reduction in calories. She said I would notice it when I exercised, including walking. This too shall pass, as they say. Good levels of protein (60+ grams) and water (64+ ozs) may help. Good luck.
