2nd update after surgery

Well I had my 2nd post op check up... It was awesome!!!! Lost another 16 pounds since my last appointment. I get to go on to the 4th stage of food that means regular foods yay! But I also know that means I still have to bevareful with certain foods. Was told that it trial by error now on what I can handle or not handle... Also get to go on to do my regular activities and could start water aerobics . I'm so excited

That is great, Peanutsmommy! So it’s your 2nd post surg appt...How many weeks since the surg? How did the liquid diet go? How was the pain, was it manageable with what they prescribed? How do you feel now?
Love the update! And keep letting us know you’re progress! What a new world you’re journeying to! Congrats and be proud of yourself! Let us know how the next stage with different food works for you!!

It has been 5 weeks since my surgery. The liquid diet went OK can say that was my least favorite stage but I know it was important... The pain management well I didn't have much pain and they sent me home with a liquid pain med but I only used it once and that was all. I feel a lot better and can actually say I'm glad I went through with the surgery for I know I have a new lease on life and I will be able to see my kiddos grow up

That is so important to overcome the tough edges of post surgery stages to see your potential future watching your kiddos growing up..
Remind me, which surgery did you have? Are you back to daily life?

I had the gastric sleeve done. And yes I was told I can go back to daily activities . ( lifting the kiddos and playing around with them). And I can finally unpack a few boxes since we moved... I rather do that myself

How old are your kids? How did they react to you leaving for surgery and how you’ve adjusted since you’ve returned? Is your pain manageable now?
We moved five years ago after our neighborhood (about 200 homes) was hit by a F5 tornado. Insurance took forever to reimburse! But, mind you, I’m still unpacking boxes- though I think I’m delaying on purpose so as not to be reminded of that day.
Hope you’re happy in your new home, and new lease on life!!
