So I just got sleeved (12/16) and should be still be on the pureed stage but my cravings got the best of me and I order a small personal pizza. I ate 1 slice then the top off another. It tasted so good as I've been craving Pizza since around Thanksgiving. But of course my stomach was not happy with me and now I feel guilty as hell. How do I get my mind to connect to my new stomach. I still have fat girl brain and she wants all the bad stuff!

Any suggestions are appreciated!

I'm surprised you didn't have physical problems! That may be a good sign that you have healed well! The cravings come and go, you won't always have them. Since it didn't cause you any sickness, savor the little bit of pizza you had, a splurge every once in a while wont damage you long term. Have a break up with it though for now, think about a better for you substitute that you can enjoy! Don't feel guilty, we aren't perfect beings. Focus on health and the protein you need.

Ok, so I just reread your post and see it did cause you stomach distress. Sorry!! I would amend my response then to say healing is your big priority right now! Don't beat yourself up though for a one meal slip. Get back on track and treat yourself well. Treat your body well. Take care

Hey Jess and welcome. I'm a pizza junkie too. Only time causes the "fat-girl brain" to get quieter, it likely will never disappear. I've heard that the long-term success of surgery comes from changing your eating habits during the time where you are learning to eat again (first 6-12 months). Think of it as a baby learning to eat. You were told first only liquids, then pureed foods, then soft foods and finally solids. You wouldn't give your baby greasy pizza. Baby yourself and your healing tummy. That said, you've already paid the price for this & hating yourself isn't going to do anything to help. Let it go & choose to do better. When you have a craving, remind yourself that you can have it again in the future, just not now. Nothing is off-limits forever. Just make a promise to yourself that you'll use this time to relearn to eat.
