So, I had gastric bypass and was doing well. 330 down to 218... I got married, then I had my shoulder replaced, the night I got home from the hospital, my husband waited for my pain killers and sleeping pills to kick in and he raped me. Next day I had all the locks changed, threw his things in a garbage bag by the fence with a note saying find someplace to live I'm filing for a divorce. He violated the restraining order over 300 times, got thrown in jail, day he got out of jail, he showed up on the doorstep again. Back to jail. then knee surgery, then a hip replaced and then about 2 weeks later my father passed away unexpectedly all while I was trying to finish getting my degree. Dad was a hoarder. I ended up having to quickly throw everything in boxes and have it moved out of the house and into storage because a wall in the bathroom rotted out, the windows were leaking and a few were broken so I had all the windows replaced (they were from the 50's), water heater died, floor was worn down to bare wood so I had it all sanded down and refinished, had a guy come and put in a new kitchen faucet since it was broken and while doing that he totally destroyed my countertops and floor in the kitchen, so I had to have those replaced as well (I figured if I had to get everything out of the house so that they could get to the windows I might as well get it all done at once), I broke the chassis on my car by hitting a pothole on the highway that basically totaled it and I had to get a different car, had surgery on my other shoulder and on my ankle. Because of all the surgeries and the timing, I haven't been able to go through any of the boxes since I can't really lift anything. I thought I was going to be able to start going through things and then a month ago I ruptured 2 discs in my back. Somewhere in there is the diet plan that my dr gave me that I was following up until all this happened. Now I'm back up to 288 and I'm not happy. Several of my doctors have retired since COVID hit and I have different insurance now and really can't afford to go find a new doctor or see a dietician as I don't have the money for all the copays and I had absolutely no help from my brothers for my dad's funeral. Can you believe my one brother wouldn't lend me the money to bury dad unless I signed a promissory note?!?! He was his father too. My other brother just out right said "no". It frustrates me to no end. Our father bent over backwards for all of us. He put all of us through college for our 1st degrees. After that we paid ourselves. He lent them thousands of dollars that we didn't have by cashing in his insurance policies and borrowing against two other policies he had and they never paid it back. Because of this, there wasn't enough to bury him. I ended up maxing out all my credit cards, emptying my 401K and sold what few stocks I had. (If you have read this far, thank you, I know I'm rambling) Ok, to get back to the original reason for this post. I want to go back to the beginning and start over with the diet, but I don't know where any of the materials are. I want to know how many calories, how much protein, how much I should be eating and when as well as some suggestions as to what I should eat for breakfast, lunch, dinner & snacks. I do remember I would use 'egg beaters' and make a mini omelet each morning but other than that I'm at a loss. I would also make a whey protein shake using 'EAS soy' that the dietician recommended, but they don't make it anymore. Can anyone help me with this information? I'm assuming that if you had the surgery, you also had received all this type of information. Would anyone be willing to share with me? Thanks in advance and thank you once again if you have read this far. I'm a bit at a loss since my psych retired, then my primary dr, then my new primary dr, then my therapist and the diatician I was working with. But not that it matters since none of those doctors are in network with my new insurance. I just don't have the money to go find new ones that are in network right now. Ok, I'm rambling again. Thanks anyways!
