Greetings,
I'm new to blogging so please bear with me.
I am almost 6 weeks post op from having to have this surgery done due to the doctor's finding a grossly infected pyloric ulcer in the top portion of my stomach during a routine upper GI visit. I had just had the same GI scope done in January and there were no problems. Well, I must say, it came to me as the most heaviest burden I could ever have imagined when they told me that they would be taking me to surgery immediately and removing most of my stomach. I cried and wept until the anesthesia kicked in. lol
Well, I have come to the realization that this is the direction my life is going so I'd better get with the program because I have a whole lot of living to do!!!! LOL The craziest part of this whole thing is that I was not over weight to begin with and have lost 18 pounds so far. My friends and husband say I don't need to loose anymore weight but maintain hopefully where I am and of course begin a toning program in the near future.
I should be receiving my multivitimins along with other things I've ordered from BariatricAdvantage.com in the next day or 2 and I'm looking forward to feeling a bit better. I have been drinking the whey shakes and I'm on a pretty regular diet except for no lettuce, nuts etc. I've been eating with my family at dinner time, but of course in very, very small portions. I'm experiencing the hair loss but hopefully that too will clear up in due time.
I believe my faith is carrying me through these tough times and that God has so much more in store for me. I would love to hear from anyone who has had the same experiences or can guide me gracefully through these trying times. I'm so glad that I've found this site. I'm really looking forward to sharing this life changing event with all of you especially since we do have so much in common!!!! LOL
Much Love,
In Christ.
Ann
