Hi Everyone....I haven't been in the group in a few days. I had my 2 week fol up appt yesterday (surgery was 07/29). I'm down 12 lbs :-).... My diet has been advanced to "puree/mush" foods. Please offer some ideas/suggestions of what you may have eaten during that phase. I'm looking forward to having my jaws go up and down in an eating motion. Thanks!!!

You can also make the instant mashed potatoes with chicken bone broth instead of water!
That sounds super yummy, but I thought we were to avoid carbs. Also, what's the difference between the chicken bone broth and chicken broth?

I haven't run this by my nutritionist yet, but according to a friend who had the sleeve several years ago, she was told that the instant mashed potatoes were okay during this brief period to help with some pureed options. Since you are only eating a very small portion of them, the carb count should be relatively low. Just don't eat it for all your meals in one day! And really, there isn't much of a difference between the bone broth and stock or regular broth. It is pretty much in the way you make it. It is made from the bones and can tend to be a little thicker. My sister's in-laws live right around the block and tend to have left over bones so I use them to make a homemade bone broth that I share with them. That way they get the chicken (typically) for their meal and I can use the part we would normally throw away to get a little more out of it!

Thank you @missdarmitage. I was hoping my question didn't get lost in the posts. Every food I see or read about sounds good and makes me want it (ugh---the cravings). That chicken bone broth sounds good too. I know I've seen it in the stores and wondered what the difference is/was. There's nothing like homemade though. #Yum. LOL
