Hello! I am having ESG on Wednesday the 24th. I am not nervous- just excited! I am curious if anybody out there has recently had the same or will be having the same surgery in the near future...? I would love to have a buddy/accountability partner to link up with! Cheers, Jennifer

Hi Jennifer- I had my Sleeve on 2/13/2020. Make sure you follow your pre-op instructions to the letter. When get home from surgery focus on walking and getting enough water those 2 are key to a good recovery. Follow your surgeon's instructions regarding your food stages post op. Do not cheat. Your stomach needs time to heal.

Thank you for the tips! Curious how long you were on clear liquids prior to the surgery? My doctor told me 2 days just everything I read says 2 weeks. I am 1 week out today and have a call in to see if I should start on liquids today...

I had the sleeve 1/21/20. Absolutely no pain after getting home from the surgery. Never took one pain pill after I got home. Different people have different experiences. I was lucky. My memory of the hospital is fuzzy.

I was on clear liquid for 2 weeks. Per doctor instructions but I did 3 weeks because I am a texture person and the puree stage looked gross blended ground Turkey was not going to happen.
