Diane, My friend got it really bad in her eye and it took months and months to get a correct diagnosis as that was the only place it showed up. It was not only painful and looked awful but she started to lose her vision in that eye. Scary stuff.I had shingles on my face and scalp years ago. One eye was puffed shut and the sores were weepy, itchy and painful. I won't attach the photos because they're really bad. But it's so good you got the shot. I hope it keeps the inner nerve system from freaking out in clusters.
I went to the ER and some arrogant jerk misdiagnosed me. Went back the next day, insisting on a different doc.
Wish there'd been a vaccine back then. The pain is worse than any other, as these are directly attached to nerve endings.
