Feeling Tired

This is my first post. I had my RNY on October 15,2013 and weighed 238. Today I am weighing 137!!!! In the first few months after surgery I felt so much more energy than I had in years. I've noticed over the last 2 months or so I'm feeling tired. I'm hoping this is just temporary and I will go back to feeling that energy again!!!

congrats!!! I am doing the rny also this month july 28th, I have lots of questions I am a bit nervous but excited!

July 28th is right around the corner!!! I remember being nervous and researching daily, watching YouTube videos, not knowing what to expect. I can tell you that you are making a wonderful decision! I couldn't be happier with my decision to have WLS! Good Luck!

Are you continuing to take all of your vitamins, calcium, iron, B-12 and making sure you are meeting your daily amount of protein?

My surgeon and nutritionist upped my protein intake twice, the first time when I hit the daily 5 mile jog and the 2nd increase after my 6 month blood work, since my Gastric Bypass back in November 2013.. Once we upped it with an additional 40 to 70 grams of protein a day my exhaustion cleared up.

I have also found, at least for me, some vitamins and supplements work far better than others especially the bariatric chewable iron .
