First time posting Failed lap-band revision surgery

First time posting. Long story short my weightloss journey started 12 years ago with the lap-band and I was extremely successful until January 2020 when I started having major issues. The lap-band had to be removed. My insurance denied me three times for a revision and after reaching out to a advocacy group I was finally approved a month ago. My revision is set for Monday and I’m just looking for the best advice on what to expect , best places to by food and so forth. I’m pretty nervous and anxious about going through the whole process again. Any info and help would be much appreciated.

Hello and welcome to the group. I would think since you were so successful with the band, you should be fine with the bypass. I had the bypass, no revision, in June of 2020. The hardest part for me was the first week of clear liquids only. I liked Isopure Zero Carb Clear Protein drink (I should be their spokesperson.) It has 40g of protein per 20oz bottle, which was the highest I could find. The have it at GNC, or Amazon. Once you get to full liquid, you can pick up protein powders pretty much anywhere. I like Aldi's Elevation protein powder in Chocolate, mostly cuz it's cheap lol

Welcome! There are a few members who’ve had the lap revision. I hope your surgery goes smoothly. Are you having the sleeve or bypass?

Thank you for the informa. That’s one of my biggest fears is going through the whole process of food and figuring out what works and what doesn’t. I will have to check out the products you mentioned.
