Does anyone know where or anything about how or any info on a gastric bypass revision. I just feel like I need one. I can’t seem to loose any more weight. I don’t know what I should do to get my self going again. I have been stalled out since the death of my husband. Any info would be appreciated.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. That is a huge life impacting event that can certainly throw anyone off course. The best place to start acquiring revision information is with a bariatric provider center. They will be able to help analyze your current diet, run blood panels to see if everything checks out okay and give you all the details about a revision surgery. Some groups even work closely with Behavioral Health providers and they can step in to help you learn modification techniques to deal with stress and anxiety. Bariatric centers also have Registered Dietitians on hand to help you analyze your current diet and help provide some new guidelines to try and lose weight before surgery is done.

Condolences on your loss. What was your original surgery, and when did you have it? There are a couple people here who have had revisions after sleeve. Have you spoken with your doctor?

I had revision, but not for additional loss, although I have lost about 55 pounds since the revision in August. Mine was for GERD. If you are doing for additional weight loss, I've heard there is a lot more scrutiny and hoops to jump thru. A lot will depend on how far out you are, starting vs current BMI, etc. And, I would expect that they are going to put a lot of focus on the fact that you could be in a temporary set back as you deal with the loss of your husband.
